James Galase, 62
James “Kimo” Galase, 62, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully at Maui Memorial Medical Center on September 15, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Services honoring Mr. Galase will be held at Grace Bible Church on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, with services starting at 11:00am.

James was born on January 1, 1954 in Honolulu to Kimido & Teofila Galase. He was the 5th of 8 children. In the early1970’s, James moved to Maui and began working as a laborer at American Fence, later moving on to work as a mechanic for Alamo rental car. He will be remembered as a quiet, yet comical man, who never complained and was proud of his family. He enjoyed taking his children fishing when they were young, and was a very proud and loving grandfather.
James leaves behind 7 children to cherish his memory, sons, James “Mano”, Jason & Jeremiah Galase; daughters, Janet (Edwin Jr.) McCary, Jayme Pinheiro, Jeanell (Michael) Moepono & Jody-Lee (Brandon) Waiohu. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and numerous other extended family members and friends.
