Stanley Higa, 91
Stanley Seiki Higa, 91, of Kahului, passed away peacefully at Hale Makua Wailuku on March 6, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
Services honoring Mr. Higa will be held at Faith in Jesus Church on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Visitation will begin at 8:30am with services beginning at 9:30am. Mr. Higa will be laid to eternal rest with his beloved wife at Maui Veterans Cemetery at 1:00pm.

Stanley was born on February 23, 1926 in Puunene to Seigyoku & Ushi Higa. He was one of twelve children. After graduating from Baldwin high school in 1944, Stanley proudly served in the U.S. Army. On April 26, 1952, Stanley married his love, Betty Haruko Yoshino and together they raised four children.
Mr. Higa spent his entire career with HC&S as a mechanic. He was also a longtime, faithful member of Faith in Jesus Church. After retiring, he enjoyed his yardwork, helping friends and family with their cars, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be remembered as a lovable, friendly, generous and good-natured man whose smile lit up any room. In Heaven, Stanley will join his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty Higa & their son, Darrell Higa. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, Stephen (Junette) Higa; daughters, Sandra (John) Nakao & Cheryl (Guy) Lawrence; grandsons, Joshua Rodero, Mitchell Lawrence & Bryson Higa; granddaughters, Jennifer Lawrence and Danelle Higa; and great grandchildren, Josiah Rodero, Aiden Lawrence and Teya Nishiyama.
