Carole S. Ikeda, 90
Carole Sugimoto Ikeda, 90, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully under the compassionate care of Hospice Maui on July 9, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Services honoring Mrs. Ikeda will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Saturday, July 22, 2017. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm, with services beginning at 5:00pm.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Carole was born on July 2, 1927 in Makawao to Isseihei & Kiku Sugimoto. After graduating from Maui High School, Carole began working for HC&S, and it was there, that she met and married her love, Larry Ikeda. The two would raise two daughters together. Mrs.
Ikeda devoted much of her time and energy to her faith and was a devoted member of the Wailuku Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She will be remembered by friends and family as a fun-loving, spunky little lady with a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face. Mrs. Ikeda was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Mr. Larry Ikeda. She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen (Warren) Suzuki & Jeri (Patrick) Kawamoto; two grandchildren, Keri Ann (Scott) Kelley & Kurt (Renee) Suzuki; and four great-grandchildren, Malia, Kainoah & Elijah Suzuki and Mason Kelley.
