Domingo Alboro, Sr. 83

Domingo Alboro, Sr., 83, died at Hale Makua-Wailuku on September 1, 2017. Domingo was born May 19, 1934 in Lahaina, Maui. He attended Lahainaluna High School as a boarder. He met his wife, Florence Lintao, at Lahainaluna, and they got married before finishing school.

Domingo worked at Pioneer Mill for forty plus years. He was very active with ILWU. Besides working at Pioneer Mill, he also worked part-time as a busboy and later as a waiter at Sheraton, Royal Lahaina and finally Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Then he decided to work closer to Lahaina at Denny’s. He also worked at a third job as a security. His last security job was at the Wharf Center.

During his early years, he enjoyed fishing, diving, and hunting. Then, in his later years he would frequent the 9th Island- Las Vegas.

He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Florence Lintao Alboro, and sons, Domingo Alboro Jr, and Duke Felipe Alboro. He is survived by daughters, Linda (Leslie) Takahashi, Adele Alboro, Lydia Mendes and Carol (Craig) Nakamura; grandsons, Chad K. Takahashi (Jackie Jung), Shayne Takahashi, David James Alboro, and Jason Curtis Alboro; granddaughters, Ronalene (Gerry) White, Rachel (Ryan) Tregilgas, Erica Nakamura, and Tanya Nakamura; and a grandson, Rayne M. Takahashi.

A small private service was held.
