Marilyn Simpson, 92

Marilyn Simpson passed away December 26, 2017 peacefully at home in Kula Hawaii at the age of 92.

Marilyn lived during the depression years in Blue Rapids Kansas where her father and grandfather owned a flour mill. She graduated from Kansas University and married the “boy next door”, Jerry Simpson. They moved to Casper Wyoming, had their son Clay, and then to Calgary, Alberta Canada. There Jerry started a survey company now called Midwest Surveys. They then had three beautiful daughters. They discovered Maui in 1963 and retired to Kula permanently in 1979.

She is survived by her son Clay (Shelley), daughters Lyndall, Judy and Janet (Gerry), three grandchildren (Jessica, Kyle and Jared) and two great grandchildren (Ronin and Emery).

There will be a private ceremony for the scattering of ashes for family only. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to The PEO Sisterhood, Local Chapter. Checks to be made out to “The PEO Sisterhood Chapter H” and mailed to the PEO Treasurer, 344 Kamano Place, Lahaina HI USA 96761.
