Kay Kikue Muraoka, 95

Kay Kikue Muraoka, of Wailuku, Hawaii passed away peacefully on July 17, 2018 at Hale Makua Kahului.

Private services were held in her request.

Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements.

Kay was born on September 23, 1922 in Japan to parents Yuichi and Man Matsui.

She was predeceased by her husband Makoto, her parents and her brothers Jiro, Kazuo and Hideo Matsui.

Kay is survived by her sons, Melvyn, Michael (Eileen), Gordon (Corinne) Muraoka and daughter, Cheryl (Hideo) Tanaka, grandchildren, Chris (Lois) Muraoka, Peter (Tiffanie) Muraoka, Aaron (Kunyoung) Muraoka, Jean (Brian) Wheeler, Amy (Ricardo) Ruiz, Dyann (Garrett) Kai and Ian (Susanne) Tanaka and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Tetsuo, Jeffrey, Warren and sister, Ellen; sisters-in-laws, Dorothy and Yukiko Matsui, Yoshiko Alice Tamaye, Chiyoko Wakatake and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kay will be missed by all who knew her. Thanks to the caring staff at North and East units at Hale Makua Kahului for their tender care of our Mom.

Family request No koden or flowers. Donations can be made in her memory to Wailuku Hongwanji Mission.
