Natsuko Okano, 95
Natsuko Okano, 95, of Lahaina, Maui, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Hale Makua in Kahului.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Lahaina Hongwanji Mission with visitation at 10:00am followed by a service at 11:00am. Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Natsuko was born on August 23, 1922 in Lahaina, Maui to Kakuji and Masuyo Kuboyama. She was predeceased by husband, Nobuyuki “Romeo” and infant son, Calvin Satoru Okano. Natsuko is survived by son, Donald; daughters, Blanche (David) McHugh and Coleen (Edward) Nakamura; grandchildren, Stacey (Lono) Makanui, Lesley (James) Vierra, Scott and Ross Nakamura; great grandchildren, Jaylee and Blake Vierra, Ava and Peyton Makanui; brothers, Kazukiyo and Roy Kuboyama and sister, Kiyomi Kodama.
She worked in the housekeeping department at the Sheraton Hotel in Kaanapali, Maui. She enjoyed playing harmonica, crocheting, working on word search puzzles, making shirts, going to Vegas with Nobuyuki and especially having family around.
