Number one — still and again
Well, you have to hand it to readers of Conde Nast Traveler – they know a good thing when they see it.
Once again this year, readers chose Maui as the “Best Island In The World” and “Best Island In The United States.”
Readers Choice awards were announced this week by Conde Nast and for the 20th year Maui took home “Best in the U.S.” and was honored for the 19th time as world’s best.
Kauai finished second in both categories.
Maui chalked up an incredible 93.9 Readers’ Choice Rating overall out of a possible 100. Our scenery scored 98.1, atmosphere a 95.8, beaches 95.6 and activities 95.2.
A few years ago Conde Nast Traveler had a little summary about Maui under its Why Go feature:
* Maui is its own luxury brand – beautiful, hip, and exclusive.
* World-class wind and waves attract people from around the globe.
* Direct flights from Mainland cities with more added every year.
So when you add it all up – incredible scenery, beaches and activities with world-class resorts and restaurants, plus easy access – it’s easy to see why Conde Nast Traveler’s readers love Maui.
* Editorials reflect the opinion of the publisher.
