Patriots stand by the country, not the president

A Jan. 28 letter demands a reply. Those the letter writer refers to as haters are, in fact, lovers. We are lovers of the Constitution and the liberty it provides. We oppose (not hate) chief executives who abuse it.

“Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president.” – Teddy Roosevelt.

President Barack Obama’s Kool-Aid drinkers fail to understand or accept that we are a nation of laws, not of men. Obama, in violation of his oath, has ordered his government not to enforce laws he doesn’t like (immigration/Defense of Marriage Act). This god worship praised upon Obama is not warranted by deed.

Obama is trusted? Really?

“Elect me and your taxes will not go up one dime.” America, check your pay statements. Trusted? Obamacare lets you keep your doctor. Obamacare cost me both my cardiologist and my primary care physician. Trusted?

“Benghazi was not a terrorist attack.” Obama and his surrogates kept up this lie for weeks. Trusted?

When his administration was caught red-handed illegally giving assault rifles to Mexican drug cartels, resulting in the murders of more than 300 men, women and children, including two U.S. law-enforcement officers, the most transparent administration in history claimed executive privilege to prevent those charged with finding the truth from doing so.

Final comment to those who have compared his inaugural speech to the Gettysburg Address: Barack Hussein Obama is no Abraham Lincoln.
