Banner Health facilities ranked among the best

Banner Health has a great reputation. Banner and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center opened the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Arizona. U.S. News & World Report rated MD Anderson No. 1 in the country for cancer care.

Banner Health’s mission statement is: “To make a difference in people’s lives through excellent patient care.” Banner is a nonprofit. It reinvests every dollar it earns into new equipment, technology, patient services, physician services, facility upkeep and paying employees salaries.

A former employee of Banner told me that she had loved her job at Banner Colorado. Banner paid her a higher salary than other hospitals offered. She said that Banner takes good care of its employees and had very good health care services. She had a facial tumor removed at Banner with a great outcome.

Thomson Reuters named Banner Health one of the top five health care systems in the nation in 2012. Consumer Reports rates Banner very well in safety.

Banner Health has won awards for leadership in health care and excellence in health care imaging. It was honored for its streamlined image transfer process for trauma patients who were referred from rural hospitals.

In 2012, U.S. News & World Report released its annual “Best Hospitals” publication: Seven Banner Health facilities ranked as best hospitals.

Banner was named on of Arizona’s most admired companies two years in a row.

Banner Health continues to be a top-performing health system based on clinical and operational excellence.
