Change ag practices to stop blowing dust

Change is needed in our local agriculture practices.

Extreme amounts of dust daily have been allowed to blow for the past several weeks in the north Kihei neighborhoods, coming from the Monsanto fields.

The media tells us this company spent $46 million to defeat a GMO food-labeling initiative during the past election in California. However, it obviously doesn’t want to spend its money here on Maui to water its fields upwind of our communities. Meanwhile, our community suffers during windy days for the profits of a few elite agriculturalists.

It seems no matter who is elected here locally these Third World practices continue.
