Did you know: Hawaii should have been producing alcohol from sugar 30 years ago. We would be a total flexfuel state by now.
Alexander & Baldwin owns the only refinery in the state and refuses to produce alcohol. Instead, it brings in Far East oil and refines it to sub-EPA standards and sells it to Mexico, then tells the public that the refinery is maxed-out production-wise.
