American Airlines’ legacy is being tarnished
C.R. Smith and his successors, who built American Airlines these past 82 years, must be rolling in their graves at the mess left by Tom Horton and his 11 board associates.
US Airways will have its work cut out as it attempts to bring order and profit out of chaos and loss. Talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water, this board of directors, for reasons known only to them and their psychiatrists, scrapped their iconic logo “AA with the Eagle,” created in 1930, for a look-a-like Air France tail marking. Go figure.
