Blaming the victim is not a credible strategy

Instead of addressing the issue of West Maui drivers being a hazard to scooter and bike riders (Letters, April 8), a letter writer on April 14 dredges up an age-old strategy that the victim is to blame and not the driver that ran him down.

One has to wonder if the letter writer drives a Buick and what does a replacement windshield cost?
