Court wasting time with same-sex marriage debate

Although I am an atheist, I was ordained by three websites in one day – for a fee, of course. I am now authorized to perform weddings, funerals and a host of other functions. The power to marry and bury.

There’s definitely money to be made there, maybe that’s why the government and churches have cornered the market.

In reality, no one has the authority to marry anyone. Marriage is a simple contract/agreement between consenting adults that should have no legal constraints and legally has none.

So why is the Supreme Court wasting its time and our money debating the Defense of Marriage Act?
