Liberals prefer censorship over open discussion

It’s troubling to see the purported liberal members of our community who are trying to get The Maui News and others to censor or quash any and all opinions that are opposed to their beliefs (Letters, May 5).

“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it” applies here.

This is another example of liberals trying to browbeat and name-call to intimidate anyone who deigns to disagree with them.

As a society, we should be able to voice our opinions, either way.
