Tax-exempt status not deserved in the first place

Let me see if I have this straight: You give your organization a political name, Tea Party Maui. You apply for a tax-exempt status that requires that your organization be primarily nonpolitical. You then complain that you did not receive your tax-exempt status in time to reach your political goals.

It seems to me you should not have been given the tax-exempt status in the first place.
