GOP needs to move past the political negativity

Kudos to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for having the integrity to be a Republican and thank President Barack Obama for his attention and assistance in the cleanup and rebuilding efforts of the Jersey Shore.

The Republican Party, on the other hand, is saying Christie will have to sharpen his criticism of Obama if he wants to be considered for a 2016 presidential candidacy. Really? In the face of devastating events, is that all that concerns the Republican Party?

This mentality is offensive and insulting to the intelligence of the voting populous.

Can we please move beyond the “Groundhog Day” politics of repeating the same scenario and expecting a different outcome?

Political parties cannot expect the public to get excited about their party platform when they continue to practice the negativity of Stone Age politics. Progress, please.
