Join Cameron Center’s anniversary celebration
On June 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Yokouchi estate in Wailuku, the supporters of the J. Walter Cameron Center will join together in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Cameron Center’s founding. The 16 resident social and human service agencies located at the center serve an estimated 30,000 Mauians each year.
The theme of the event is “A Time of Renewal,” and Grammy award-winning musicians George Kahumoku Jr. & Friends are providing the entertainment. The honorary co-chairs are the patriarch of the revival of Hawaiian music Eddie Kamae and his wife, Myrna, Mayor Alan Arakawa and Council Chairwoman Gladys C. Baisa.
The evening will include a delicious dinner catered by Three’s Bar and Grill, with specialty desserts prepared by the Maui Culinary Academy. Included are hosted cocktails and wine and a silent and live auction. Nonalcoholic beverages will also be provided.
A limited number of tickets and sponsorships are available. For tickets or tables, call 244-5546 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The mission of the Cameron Center is “to assist people with special needs by providing a home for Maui’s social service agencies.”
We invite you to join in celebrating this unique Maui institution and those who have worked for two generations to ensure its continued service to the people of Maui.
