Mayor should apologize for abusing procedures

The County Council’s concern about the demolition of the Old Wailuku Post Office is not whether it should have been destroyed, but rather the procedures followed by the mayor in doing it.

It is the County Council, not the mayor, that decides the fate of county buildings. The mayor requested funds to renovate the post office, but instead he demolished it.

The mayor needs to go before the council and apologize for what he did.
