Keep the energy on Maui and reduce the rates

So, MECO dumps energy that Maui’s windmills “overly” produce and now plans are in discussion to send this energy to Oahu.

Is anyone’s electric bill declining drastically? Not mine.

Why continue to erect more windmills in Maalaea and Ulupalakua if MECO knew they didn’t have the capacity to hold all this energy (The Maui News, July 10)?

Invest in the means to hold this energy, as Maui’s population continues to grow. Makes me wonder if more of the energy will be sent to Oahu to supply their needs and less kept for ours. Oahu can build their own windmills.

MECO should concentrate on dropping their rates.
