Effort to diminish marriage insults all faiths

In The Maui News (Sept. 6) we are told there are about 4,000 people (2,000 couples) waiting for the Hawaii Marriage Equality Act (same-sex marriage act) to be made law in a special session of the Legislature.

According to the 2010 Census, there are 1,360,301 people in Hawaii. So .003 percent of Hawaii’s population is trying to change the institution of marriage that has been populating the world for about 5,000 years.

This is pure evil and kicks dirt in the face of all faiths on the planet. Don’t let our legislators and governor diminish the importance of one-man, one-woman marriage. The progressive elites are using this as one more step to wipe out faith-based morals and God from our state and republic. Urge all the legislators to vote no on the Hawaii Marriage Equality Act. Write to them. Call them. Do it now.
