KCA providing a forum for other volunteer groups

While the Kihei Community Association, a nonprofit, unfunded, all-volunteer organization, continues to make our portion of our island home a better place to live using various techniques including an interactive website, frequent communication with government officials, interacting with other community associations and our monthly general membership meetings at Kihei Charter School on the third Tuesday of the month, we recognize there are numerous other groups doing likewise but with more focus directed by a smaller area or a single specific purpose.

This month’s meeting welcomes several such groups to present information to the general community identifying who they are and what they do. KCA wishes to offer mutually beneficial interaction since no single volunteer entity can do everything for everyone in all of South Maui.

While membership is encouraged, the meeting is open to the public. Why not come by on Tuesday about 6 p.m. and enjoy pupu and meet other people interested in a better community? The meeting begins at 6:30 sharp and lasts until 8 p.m. at 41 E. Lipoa St.

Please bring nonperishable foods for our continuous Maui Food Bank drive.
