Police get a castle while kids’ education suffers

I see that huge castle on the hill for our police. Now I see they are getting solar and will have nice, cool air conditioning.

But what about our kids who still need a high school? That facility could have been Kihei High. Our kids suffer at Maui High in hot rooms, and also at Kihei School.

Studies show that kids learn at a much cooler temperature, and if you go to the University of Hawaii Maui College the classes there are freezing for that very reason. Cooler temperatures increase learning capacity.

Our kids’ education should come first, since the only state we beat is Alabama.

Where are our priorities? A castle on the hill for the police or a better education system for our kids?
