Product label contains frightening information

Buyer beware? Recently, I purchased a large bottle of bubble bath at a local drugstore.

I was looking forward to a luscious, hot, bubbling bath and, while running the water, I read the label. On the back, on a small sticker at the very bottom, it said something to the effect that California has found these ingredients to cause cancer.

Wow! To think I was just about to use it.

A couple of days later, I took it back with my receipt, and asked to speak to the manager. The assistant manager said she could help me. I showed the label to her and she said she became aware of it while putting the product on the shelf and reported it. Another soap made by the same company exists and is also stocked.

I asked her if they have a list of these products with this warning so I could avoid buying them. The answer was no, they are just sent these items without notice.

Needless to say, I got my money back and will really read the label from now on. How dare they knowingly expose us to possible carcinogens?
