Precept of protecting minority upheld in Hawaii
In a Nov. 16 letter we are reminded that the legislators work for the people, and indeed they do.
It went on to say that marriage equality should have been put to a vote. One of the fundamental precepts of our republic is that the minority will not be subjected to the tyranny of the majority. The Hawaii state legislators and the governor have kept faith with this important concept. God bless this honorable institution, its governor and the United States of America.
