Supplemental coverage canceled due to Obamacare

Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act, is going to be anything but affordable to my wife and me. We are both on Social Security and Medicare and recently received a policy cancellation notice from our Medicare supplemental insurance company. This takes effect Jan. 1.

We started scrambling for a replacement policy and could only find a large national company to cover us. However, the cost for this coverage will be more than $5,000 per year more and will not cover our choice of primary physician. These extra costs to us and thousands more like us will be very difficult to afford.

President Barack Obama has said he is arranging for those with cancellations to be reinstated. However, we have been told that is not possible with our old plan. Another lie. Why would these companies want to get back into this circus that is being run by clowns, idiots and liars?

In 2010, Nancy Pelosi stated, “We have to pass the bill to know what is in it.” Has anyone ever heard of anything more asinine? That is like saying you have to cross a raging river and drown before you know how deep the water is.

This is a prime example of why we need term limits and total government change. The only thing we can hope for is that people will remember this at the ballot box. However, here in Hawaii, that won’t make much difference – the lambs will be led to the slaughter as usual.
