Homeless people are part of the human race family

I am 13 years old and attend Iao school. I have become aware of the homeless situation lately.

The homeless end up on the streets and don’t know what to do because their life is empty. They have no one. I know that people are scared of the homeless. With that being said, I want to remind everyone that we are all family – the family of the human race.

I have a family that cares about me, so it breaks my heart that the homeless have no one. I think when we see someone who is homeless, we should at least give them food and shelter. I cannot imagine what it would be like to be a child in a homeless family.

The homeless are not different from us. I was taught that all things are in God’s hands and God tells us that we are all a family. Believing in one another and restoring faith in God to all who have strayed would bring all God’s children together as one family.

I wrote this because I want the people to be aware of what I’m feeling and writing about. Thanks, Mrs. Gapero, for helping me write this. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have collected all my thoughts on paper. I would like to thank all the people who do show kindness and sharing attitudes at this time of year. Your work does not go unnoticed.
