Event to celebrate prison ministry’s supporters
My husband, Al, and I have much appreciation for the last 30 years of friends and supporters for the Maui Community Correctional Center’s prison ministry.
As Hebrews 6:10 shares, “Faith will not forget all who have worked, volunteered, and helped His people.”
In expressing gratitude we invite the prison ministry liaisons and leaders, those volunteers who have been behind the bars with messages in the spiritual services and the educational and leadership classes to share a blessing/potluck lunch and fellowship at the Iao Valley (booth No. 7) at noon Feb. 17. Bring favorite finger foods, a salad or dessert. For more information, call Chaplain Pua Hashimoto at 281-9390.
A chaplain will highlight the mission in prison ministry and share the benediction. We are a family, ohana, formed by grace (undeserved most times but forgiven) to unite in bonds of aloha, to bear one another’s burdens and to persevere with living faith and prayers for all people.
