If no green harvesters, then no zoning for homes
I’m sure that in this modern world with cars and airplanes that Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co. can use green cane harvesters. They make them in the USA and they work just fine.
Modern man can solve problems and cane ash falling all over people’s homes can be eliminated here.
Maybe Alexander & Baldwin can finance these green cane harvesters in return for the zoning change it wants for the newest 600-lot subdivision in north Kihei. Makes sense to me – no harvesters, no zoning for homes that will be impacted more than all the rest.
It’s up to the County Council to allow these homes to be built in this area. Let’s see some action.
