Tougher enforcement needed for rules of road

Why do I see so many expired safety stickers? I thought that we had to pay for these, which is not inexpensive. Why don’t the police set up a checkpoint and stop all of these offenders, who obviously don’t have insurance?

There seem to be different rules for some cars, those with expired safety stickers and very high tires. How about those blinding blue headlights that seem to be legal?

And why is Maui the only county left in the state that legally permits folks in the back of pickup trucks? No seat belts? Why give out tickets for people who aren’t wearing seat belts in cars when we can hang out in the back of trucks? No penalty?

Are there some rules that we who obey the law don’t know about?
