Council must say no when the numbers are fishy

The Maui County Council needs to stop loaning out money to contractors and developers who are not showing current accurate finance reports. It needs to be more proactive and learn to say no when things seem fishy with the numbers and the math.

People do not need half a million dollars in bonuses, especially when they wait years and the initial job or project still isn’t done.

The County Council needs to realize that the corporation counsel is always pro-development. No matter how many rules get bent or how much it claims it is strictly a county advocate, it always supports inadequate developments.
