Choose GOP candidates in midterm election

The defense of liberty in the face of tyranny is a just and righteous cause. The same spirit that motivated the colonists to demand independence from the British empire in 1776, that same spirit is alive in the Tea Party and Republican Party today.

However, adversity can be our best ally.

If you are an American, rise up and stand for a cause greater than yourself – freedom. Become a family of patriots.

Hawaii’s Republican Party has superior candidates running in this midterm election. For governor, the honorable Duke Aiona; for lieutenant governor, the honorable Elwin Ahu; for U.S. Senate, Cam Cavasso; for Congress District 2, Marissa Capelouto; for state Senate District 5, Joe Kamaka; for state House District 8, Cranston Kapoi; and for County Council, Rick Nava. They are not your typical political candidates. They are wise and honest, having been taught by goodly parents.

In guarding virtue and freedom, Thomas Jefferson said, “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”

Hawaii’s primary election is Aug. 9. Get out and vote, Hawaii.
