Georgia-type beach pavilion suggested for Maui

I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on Jekyll Island, Ga., and wanted to praise local officials there on the outstanding covered picnic pavilion and public restrooms and showers adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean. The pavilion was built with weather-resistant wood and connected to the boardwalk.

It would be nice if Maui County could build such beach pavilions, primarily for the benefit of county residents but, of course, also for our visitors.

I know, as a visitor of Jekyll Island, I appreciated the great convenience of the beach facility and would compliment the architect on making the building fit in with the ocean environment.
