Having a pet should be a responsibility and pleasure

It must be heartbreaking for the humane society workers to euthanize so many little animals, but they don’t have the facilities to care for every stray, and many of them are unadoptable.

Many baby kittens are left at my restaurant in the dead of night. What are the owners of these animals thinking of? There is no way we can feed and take care of them.

Perhaps representatives of the humane society could appeal to elementary school students, showing them the responsible way to choose and maintain a happy, healthy pet. It is a responsibility as well as a pleasure.
