Renewing driver’s license a swamp of paperwork

I went to renew my driver’s license. I had my birth certificate, my marriage license, my passport. I was told I needed two envelopes with my name and address on them.

On my second trip to the Motor Vehicle and Licensing Division, I brought my birth certificate, my car registration, an envelope from the bank, two papers, recertification from my manager with my name and address, which they would not accept.

I needed to get my marriage certificate from Hennepin County, Minn. Sixty-four years ago, if a pastor signed a license it was legal.

Now the lady I was dealing with said I could not use my driver’s license for an address but the paper I got from the DMV says I can.
