Too early to pass judgment on Obama’s presidency

Recent letters assessing the Obama administration are premature. The only reflect partisan politics.

I remember the negative comments made about Franklin Delano Roosevelt. But Roosevelt was in office for so long, and he served during a terrible war, that general opinion about him became quite positive.

I also remember the day President Roosevelt died. I was living in a small town in central Minnesota. With word of the president’s death, people came out of their homes, their cheeks wet with tears. They hugged and kissed one another, trying to find comfort.

Every presidency has good and bad qualities. Time has to pass and intense study has to take place before we can pass judgment.
