Maui justice system too easy on sexual predators

Sexual predators on Maui have little to fear from the justice system. There are two more instances recently where they prey on children and receive only probation.

In one case, a 5-year-old was sexually assaulted for two years and the perpetrator just received five years’ probation (The Maui News, May 24). The other case was a 73-year-old man assaulting a 4-year-old for two years (The Maui News, May 31). He received just one year of probation.

Those children’s lives have been horribly scarred and they will need counseling for the rest of their lives. Those perverts are home free. We need to get rid of judges who do this.

The judge in both cases was 2nd Circuit Judge Rhonda Loo. Shame on her. How does she sleep at night?
