West side is getting shortchanged on recycling

The west side again gets the short end of the stick. Recycling is easy, there is a monetary incentive or tax – whichever you like – and it is very necessary especially for a beautiful small island such as Maui.

Now, folks, there is but one redemption center on the west side and 14 on the east side. I don’t know but that ratio really does not look correct.

Does the government really think people will recycle when it is inconvenient and they won’t when it is easy?

The people at the one recycle do a great job under the circumstances. It is crowded, dirty and difficult to enter and exit.

All the elected officials fighting for us could get together and resolve this green thing.
