Good source of information found for beekeepers
Many of my fellow beekeepers are always fighting the small hive beetle to no avail. I recently opened a hive to see grub-infested honey and brood, heartbreaking indeed. I started looking for a biological control instead of reaching for some poison of some sort and found a great solution totally affordable. I called Southeastern Insectaries Inc. of Perry, Ga. (478-988-9412, southeasterninsectaries.com) and ordered a baggy of 5 million nematodes of genera Steinernematidae and Heterorhabditidae.
These nematodes provide a long lasting, safe, nontoxic chemical company free solution to replacing the damage done to our best friends in the insect world. Beehacker.com has great information if you are a beekeeper; please visit their site.
