Hawaii politics heading in the wrong direction

For the first time since 1928, Republicans have complete control. They have the White House, which also means they have the Supreme Court in this case. They have both houses in Congress and a majority of governors.

Meanwhile, Hawaii just voted out the only conservative state senator we have. The only conservative we had on the County Council also got voted out. Two of the new council members are tree huggers. So while the rest of the nation is getting healed from the political disease known as progressive ideology, Hawaii keeps getting more infected by it.

That is not good in terms of ever having any influence in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. As long as the state keeps electing Democrats they will always have the minority in Congress. That is something to think about.

It also just seems that as long as Hawaii keeps moving in the opposite direction as the rest of the country, it will continue to be left behind.
