Cyclists in Kihei endanger pedestrians on sidewalks

My wife and I walk on South Kihei Road most every day. Both sides of the road are lined with sidewalks and bicycle paths, from Kam III past Foodland. Almost daily, we are nearly run over by bozos riding bicycles on the sidewalk.

What is wrong with these people? There is a dedicated bicycle lane for their use not 2 feet away but instead they choose to endanger my wife and I.

Cyclists complain that they get no respect from the drivers of automobiles. How about they give some respect to pedestrians and use the bike paths created for them, and how about the police start enforcing the laws against bicycles on sidewalks.
