Changing name of highway was a rather silly decision

Apparently not everyone got the memo that Mokulele Highway has been renamed — an article in The Maui News on Nov. 22 states that a person was caught speeding on Mokulele Highway.

I have nothing but respect for people who serve in our military, but changing a name of a well-known highway is a rather silly decision. Think of all the tourist magazines, directions, etc. that needed to be changed. Think of all of us old folks who will never remember to call the road anything but Mokulele.

Moku means island, lele means to jump (like a flea) — that describes so much about what the road does.
