Power of the press appears to be real
According to Crimson Hexagon, a research company based in Boston, each episode of “The Walking Dead” typically prompts more than 500,000 tweets. The Oscars can generate up to 10,000,000 and Donald Trump close to 130,000 on a good day.
However, the opinions voiced by Twitter’s customers are not representative of three-quarters of the American public who still rely on printed news media for their “impact” news.
For journalists, this is good news. The power of the press appears to be real.
