Writers provide constructive suggestions for newspaper
Mahalo to The Maui News for the policy change back to keeping home delivery. Two letters this Nov. 17 not only touched on the essentials — solvency and humanism — but also provided constructive suggestions for the newspaper and the public at-large.
I favor publishing six days a week and a possible price increase, if need be. Once a year, a thank-you note and a monetary gift, if affordable, to the delivery person who makes our coffee that much more enjoyable.
A French writer once stated, “Les paroles s’envolent mais les ecrits restent” — “The spoken word vanishes but the written word is eternal.”
Long live The Maui News!
