Alternative solution needed to issue of cats

Costco realizes and appreciates that there are two equally compelling sides to the cat issue — those who would like the trap-neuter-release program to be continued and those who believe that the program is a detriment to native wildlife.

Costco is not taking a side on this issue. Rather, it is our understanding that the cats reside on vacant property next to Costco, which is part of a business park development. At that owner’s request, our employee was asked not to go onto that property, whether to feed the cats or otherwise.

We encourage the advocates to look for alternatives, rather than drawing the cats onto the property of an ongoing business with significant traffic flow.
