No holiday for the cats at Maui’s Costco

After nine years of a successful sterilization program on the grounds of Maui’s Costco, management has decided to end the program and has enacted a feeding ban. Over nine years, 77 cats were sterilized and only 15 sterilized cats remain — demonstrating the success of the program.

There is copious evidence that feeding bans do not work but instead result in more cats and more complaints. By enacting a feeding ban, Costco is not addressing population control.

Many businesses and resorts all over the islands have managed cat colonies. The cats are there through no fault of their own, so why not be solution-minded and allow the program to continue? Oppose this feeding ban by commenting and signing the petition:
