Founding Fathers might have second thoughts

Regarding recent letters to the editor on repealing/amending the Second Amendment:

The Founding Fathers of our country feared the possibility of a tyrannical government when they passed the Second Amendment. They believed ordinary citizens should have the right to defend themselves against such a government. I doubt that they ever envisioned the Second Amendment being used to shield monsters shooting defenseless children in classrooms with AR-15s.

The Founding Fathers might have had second thoughts if their vision was clear enough to see the 21st century.
