Improvement seems like a huge waste of taxpayer funds
Why? Can someone explain why the intersection on Maui Veterans Highway at the animal shelter is being “improved?” There is already a traffic signal there, with left-turn lanes and there are only two destinations off of the highway there — the animal shelter to the west and a cement plant to the east.
Is there something going on that no one is talking about? Last I heard that was ag land, and hadn’t been rezoned for development. So, again, I ask, “why?”
Seems like a huge waste of taxpayer funds to me.
