Gun debate points to ponder and discuss

Most of the letters and opinions seem to be Second Amendment rights versus, banning “assault weapons” (another made up leftist term), disbanding the NRA, the mentality ill, and graphic violence in entertainment.

Turn off the TV news, it’s mostly leftist brainwashing. Stop reading the left-wing press, more brainwashing. Instead take some time to just think. I offer these points to ponder and discuss:

1. The AR15 and 30 round mags have been around since 1963, why a problem now? American’s own 5 million AR15s, the first one used in a multi-death school shooting was in 2012.

2. Not one mass shooter has been a NRA member.

3. How many shooters think of themselves as victims, for one thing or another?

4. How about developing young peoples’ character in school and home. By character, I mean the character Dr. King was talking about, not today’s Diversity Training, MeToo, BLM, etc. Those things are just more victimhood training.

5. Religion turns almost all leftist off, but ask yourself this, how many mass school shooters had gone to church lately? How about supporting a country based on Judeo-Christian values? “Thou shalt not murder,” as a start.

6. The mentally ill, yes we should do more, but almost everyone with a mental problem knows murder is wrong. Lets not dump this on them.

7. Graphic violence is watched by millions every day, see no’s 3 and 4.

8. How many shooters were on the authorities’ radar? Is political correctness killing us?
